↗odysseycs.co.ukOdyssey Contractor Solutions tasked us with streamlining their candidate onboarding, namely around right-to-work (RTW) compliance. Manual document reviews, spreadsheet trackers, and endless email reminders were slowing hiring to a crawl and exposing the business to unnecessary risk.
The Compliance Challenge
UK employers must prove every worker's RTW status and keep that evidence on file. The original workflow involved sending passport upload emails to each candidate, chasing and checking documents by hand, manually saving PDFs and updating multiple CRM fields, and running separate address-verification checks when needed. Multiply that by hundreds of applicants and you've got a mountain of admin.
The Solution
The missing piece was a seamless bridge between an independent identity verification service and Odyssey's CRM. We built a custom integration with a leading digital identity platform that issues guest links: a candidate snaps their ID, selfie, and address details on a phone and the platform validates everything in minutes autonomously.
Now after a new candidate enters the CRM, a request to verify RTW is automatically sent to the candidate. On completion, an authentic full RTW certificate is retrieved and attached to the candidate profile, entirely hands-free. With less than a week's worth of implementation effort, Odyssey now have a scalable bespoke solution that removes chasing, automates a tedious process, and drastically speeds up the overall client journey.
