P J Anderson is a fine artist based out of Worcestershire, with a unique form. It's cryptic, and the description she provided for her new website was much the same: "Two genres, two generations of artistic movement intersect with each other, creating a place where contradictions co-exist, disjunctive kinds of everything hidden in plain sight, creating a realm in which one can lose oneself."

Understanding the Artist

Capturing this mystique was one of the main challenges posed to us. We needed to provide a platform where she could display her art, while empowering her to sell her unique pieces globally without being stung by colossal gallery commission fees. Anderson's work is a captivating blend of boldness and subtlety, invoking a hard industrial setting with dashes of colour and texture. It's art that demands your attention.

The Gallery Experience

When displaying artwork such as this, you want it to speak for itself. We really wanted to evoke the fine art gallery feel, so we opted for a clean, minimalist layout with plenty of whitespace to let the art take centre stage. The navigation is simple and intuitive, making it easy for visitors to explore her portfolio and discover past and future exhibitions.

Protection & Payments

A unique challenge was preventing the digital representations of the images from being accessed. With some custom JS and a multi-layered approach, we were able to deter infringement. We also made the payment process for these unique and valuable pieces ultra secure, with support for all major payment methods so patrons can support Philippa's work in an unobtrusive way.
